Efficient Plastic Part Handling with RBTX Varioshaker Lite and ReBeL Robot
Precise sorting and handling of plastic parts are essential for automated workflows. In this application, plastic components were sorted using vibration technology to ensure their positions could be recognized by a camera and transmitted to a robot for coordinated processing. The RBTX Varioshaker lite, paired with a ReBeL robot, ifm 2D camera, and Schunk EGP 25 gripper, provided a cost-effective and efficient solution to automate this system and streamline operations.
What is the Application?
The setup automates sorting and handling of plastic parts. The Varioshaker lite vibrates and arranges parts for recognition by an ifm camera, which sends positional data to the ReBeL robot for accurate pickup and processing.
What are the Advantages of the Solution?
Cost-Effective: Utilizes affordable components for simple automation needs.
High Precision: The 2D camera ensures accurate coordinate transmission.
Streamlined Workflow: Combines sorting, recognition, and handling into one efficient process.
What are the Advantages of the Robot?
The ReBeL robot integrated into this system ensures:
Precision Handling: Accurately picks and processes parts using the Schunk gripper.
Flexibility: Adapts seamlessly to changes in part positioning.
Compact Design: Fits easily into existing production setups.
Automating Plastic Sorting with Affordable Efficiency
This RBTX Varioshaker lite-based system exemplifies the power of economical automation solutions. By combining sorting, camera recognition, and robotic precision, it reduces manual efforts, improves workflow accuracy, and offers businesses a scalable, low-cost alternative to traditional handling systems.
